  • I used a pneumatic cutting wheel to cut the tank in two. Using a thin cut-off blade allowed to me more precisely follow the line that was painted onto the tank.

  • Here is the tank after it has been cut open. The bladder had a hole in it which is how I got the tank for free. It is also how the tank got so rusted inside.

  • Using the top of my table saw, which is the closest thing I have to a surface plate, I marked the high spots on the cuts. Then the grinder was utilized to bring down the high spots. I couple repetitions of this got the cut flat enough for my use.
