Here is the bottom filled with refractory up to the
point where the bottom part of the form needs to be inserted. This
turned out to be mistake number 1. I didn't coat the rod with anything
and some of the refractory got on the upper portion that slides into
the bottom form to keep it centered on the drain hole. This
"glued" the whole thing together as I'll explain in a
moment.
Almost done. It took over two hours to mix and pour
the refractory cement in the main body. Almost three full bags also.
